Introducing the Planners for BNG Directory
We're launching the Planners for BNG Directory - England's first public directory of planning consultants who have successfully navigated BNG projects.
Why we're doing this
In 2025, we facilitated 11% of BNG unit market transactions in England, making up 18% of allocations on the Natural England register.
We work with planning consultants every day and see the quality work happening in the sector. Developers need planning consultants who have experience with BNG compliance - but there's no easy way to find them.
The Planners for BNG Directory is our way of recognising that work and providing that resource.
Learning from experience
Last year we launched the Ecologists for BNG Directory.
It's now widely used in the industry as a source of BNG-experienced ecologists for BNG projects.
That’s developers, landowners, and consultants from across the country.
The success of that directory showed us the value of connecting project teams with specialists who have BNG experience.
Now we're doing the same for planners.
