Celebrating Nature Positive Development: BNG Deserves Recognition

We think that Biodiversity Net Gain is great - and we want to celebrate it.

So we've launched a new initiative called Nature Positive Developments. 

The Recognition Gap

The BNG industry hasn't yet done a good enough job of promoting what we're all doing, and neither has the government. The public don't really understand BNG. 

It's been treated more like compliance by developers, and in the first year everyone's been navigating this new environment to understand what it is.

But BNG - by its very nature - is ‘Nature Positive’. 

Developers compensate for the environmental effects of building, then add 10% extra beyond what's required.

Championing the Impact

So we're now creating Nature Positive awards for clients, sending them a certificate to showcase on site, in head offices, or wherever they choose. 

Each award details what the site is, and includes the Natural England register reference - so you can tangibly see what was done and where. 

The true outcome of BNG - on the wall for all to see.  

Why This Matters

The UK is one of the world's most nature-depleted countries. These certificates make visible what's being created, all enhancing the quality of our country.

We should be promoting BNG - and when you're investing in units for your development, you're doing something genuinely positive. We think that’s worth celebrating.
